This Privacy Policy explains how Roof Collective Pty Ltd ("Roof Collective", "we", "us") handles personal information in connection with our website and the applications we publish, including Tailored Clinic. We are an Australian company and we handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Where our applications are used outside Australia, we also seek to align with comparable data-protection standards.

Our privacy-by-design approach

Tailored Clinic is built so that your personal health information stays with you. The information a patient enters or generates while using the app — including recovery progress photos, pain and symptom entries, recovery notes and diary content, and any Apple Health metrics the app reads — is stored locally on your own device. Roof Collective does not receive, transmit to our servers, store, sell, or have any technical ability to access or view that patient information. If you delete the app, the patient information held on your device is removed with it. Information contained in your own device backups (for example, an iCloud backup you have enabled) remains under your control through your Apple account.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your permission, the app may read general wellness metrics (such as step count, sleep and heart rate) solely to display wellness insights to you on your device during recovery. This data is read-only, is never written by us, never leaves your device through our app, is never used for advertising or marketing, is never sold, and is never stored on our servers or in iCloud by us. You can revoke Health access at any time in your device settings.

Consent

The app asks for your consent before accessing your camera, photo library or Apple Health, and a patient acknowledges the app's educational, non-medical purpose during onboarding. You choose what, if anything, to record.

Security

Because patient information is kept on your device rather than in a central database, there is no central store of patient health data for an attacker to target. On the device, the app supports biometric (Face ID / Touch ID) protection of your information. The limited administrative data we do handle is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and protected with reasonable technical and organisational measures.

Data retention

Patient information persists on your device until you delete it or remove the app. We retain the limited administrative information described above only for as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law.

Your rights

You can access and delete patient information directly on your device at any time. For the limited administrative information we hold, you may request access, correction or deletion by contacting us at the email address below.

Children

Our applications are intended to be used under the direction of a healthcare provider and are not directed at children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information. Where the app is used in the care of a minor, it should be used by a parent or guardian.

Tailored Clinic is an educational and personal recovery-tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or clinical monitoring. See our Terms of Service for details.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
